If you have landed here, it's not a coincidence - it is grace. I can absolutely help you. If you want to hire a mentor who really "gets it," read on.
My clients who want relief from overeating have tried everything, and I suspect that you have too. I hope that in reading about me you'll have more insights and feel more at ease making use of what Intuitive Body can offer.
Herbs from our garden for cooking.Long before I trained and got licensed as a psychotherapist, I was an "expert" in eating disorders. I had decades of struggling with my own eating and weight, and like you had pretty much tried everything out there - throwing huge sums of money at anything that looked promising. And although certain things helped at various times, I always reverted to my primary way of dealing with life, by putting things in my mouth.
You and I share many common experiences. The eating issues are simply the expression of other energies that you are holding. Some of these you may be aware of, others maybe not.
Like me, you are mostly likely a "sensitive-empath" with many intuitive gifts and ways of experiencing things that have made you feel different.
Like me, from an early age you absorbed others' energies and emotions. You learned to try to fix what was not yours, all the while becoming disconnected from your own feelings and needs. This is very draining; part of what can result is emotional or binge-eating as a way of restoring balance.
Campbell & Sailor playing in the snow.My gift and my passion have been to translate all of these experiences for myself so that I could be part of others' healing. I've had a driving curiosity and wish to make sense of my history of overeating so that I could be a guide for others.
These experiences have amplified my own gifts as an Intuitive, and encouraged me to trust my inner guidance more than ever. Much of what I learned during those years became integrated into the Intuitive Body work - everything came together.
You may come to me to work on eating-related issues, but I promise you that at heart, this is your gateway into a profound and transformative spiritual journey that will allow you to call up the places inside where your core issues want to be healed.
And yes, the issues around food and weight will resolve too!
A bit of professional background:
I've worked with women and teens for almost 25 years. I'm licensed as an Independent Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts (since 1990).
I was trained clinically at a Harvard Medical teaching hospital and spent many years there honing my skills as a psychotherapist. I worked in other clinics, including a state prison for women on their Psychiatric Crisis Team. Since 1998 I have been in full time private practice from my beautiful home office.
I am a holistic, intuitive psychotherapist - I have integrated all of the clinical, and alternative medicine and energy-healing practices into my work with clients. I use guided imagery and relaxation healing, energy-healing, therapeutic writing, and work with human energy system of the chakras. My Intuitive Body approach is potent, going way beyond simple "talk therapy," which doesn't allow you to clear out the energies and beliefs that are being "held" in your body.
My professional background includes a B.A. in Psychology from Connecticut College in 1979, a Masters in Clinical Social Work (MSW) from Boston College, and I received my advanced professional licensure in 1990. I also received advanced training and certification in EMDR (a specialized treatment for people with trauma histories). Additionally, I spent four years studying energy healing honing my Intuitive abilities.
I am a voracious reader and learner - I have always loved discovering new things to support my own growth, and that of my women and teen clients.
I actively seek whatever is on the cutting edge so that you get the best of what's available from energy-medicine, metaphysics, science, nutrition, exercise physiology, psychology, and my own experiences to provide you with the most powerful support and information.
I'm a mother to Luke and Nicky, my teenage sons, and since 2006, married to my husband Andy. We live in an 1850's farmhouse with a heated barn, beautiful land, in a small town in Massachusetts next to a magnificent apple orchard. I adore my five Yorkshire terriers Campbell, Sailor, Violet, Daisy, and Pansy.
I love to walk, to write, plant herbs and annuals, read recipe books and sometimes entertain friends and family. My own weight fluctuates, and although sometimes that's challenging, it helps me remain curious about where I am balanced or not in my own life.
I practice everything I teach with daily rituals that support me and keep me healthy and inspired. Everything I share with clients I have done myself.
I have a life that is rich and I count my blessings daily. I am honored to do this life-changing work with others who are drawn to me. If my story speaks to you, you are probably a good match for the Intuitive Body approach.
I love hearing from you by email or phone. I try to be accessible whenever possible.
I wish you great peace, freedom, and every blessing-
