Feeling Stuck Around Out of Control Eating?

What Are You Choosing When You Do Nothing At All?
Remember me? The one who was so good at keeping in touch every Thursday?! So many things- we saw my gorgeous brand new baby nephew Max in California, and also spent some time up the coast at El Capitan Canyon. It was blissful being away, and especially getting to be so close to nature and the ocean (and the dolphins we saw!!) I felt renewed and refreshed in every way.

Many of you have told me that you're a little freaked out financially and that it's not helping your efforts to bring your eating. Later this week I'll have news for you about something that addresses both, but it will be limited to the first 10 people who sign up.

I've been thinking lately about the idea of what we choose, or what we don't. One thing I know about all of us with issues around food and eating, is that we are terrified of giving anything up.
You may be afraid of change of any kind, or you may fear that if you make changes around your food, that you will face unbearable pain. So you do nothing.

What are you choosing when you do nothing?

If you are game, let yourself follow this question to some answers. If you are in pain around your food-addiction, and you continue to do whatever you have been doing, with little positive outcome, what else are you choosing?

It might be that you are choosing to live in shame. It might mean that you are living with some unwanted anxiety and stress around your health- maybe your doctor has been warning you in no uncertain terms that your weight is impeding your health. Or maybe it means that you are choosing to stay in a place of unworthiness a bit longer- that horrible feeling that nothing you want can come to you when you are in this place.

Is that what you choose? Really?

You don't want to believe you would choose those things, and yet by doing nothing, or doing the same things over and over that aren't helping, that is what you are choosing.
Sometimes you "choose" by not choosing because you just have no idea where to start. Or you picture the alternatives as feeling much more painful than whatever you are doing now. It feels like you are between the Devil and the "deep blue sea"- no safe place to be.
Take a deep breath or two. Think about what you would choose if you were not so fearful. What would that be? Wouldn't you choose vitality and health? Wouldn't you easily choose freedom and peace over guilt and shame? Of course you would. Make your own list- you need to have at least a beginning vision of what might be on the other side of food addiction for your self. You have to at least know which direction you might point your compass, if you were so inclined.
What are you choosing? This question allows you to connect with your heart whenever you ask it, about anything- relationships, finances, work, quality of life.

You get to choose

Really- this is your life. You get to choose, or else you will be choosing by default- getting what you get, by not making a real choice, by not naming what it is that you want for yourself.

Before you can take a step, you have to know where you are going. Steps can come later, if you choose! Right now, being as honest and in connection with your truth, allow your self to know what it is that you want.

I will leave you with one of my favorite quotes, written by Anais Nin.

"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom".

I wish you great love and every blessing,

Lisa

I experienced the same thing. The doctor told me there was just something in the medication my system was reacting too. I found that the best results for allergy care was with my Flonase over the counter.. To be honest I have been prescribed so many different types of sprays and I always get bad side affects from then. Besides this spray! I also read up on allergies at "kiwi drug" should help you out
